Delete Your Account

Didi — Remember Less. Live More.

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This page explains how to permanently delete your Didi account (developed and operated by the Didi team, package name com.getdidi.app) — both from within the app and, if you no longer have the app installed, by request — and exactly which data is deleted immediately versus what's kept, and why.

Option 1: In the app (recommended)

Open Didi and go to Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete My Account, confirm once, then confirm again. This deletes your account immediately — there's no waiting for a response from us.

If you currently own a household (you created it and haven't transferred ownership), Didi asks you to transfer ownership to another member or delete that household first — this protects the other people in it from being left without an owner. This is the only thing that can pause deletion; once it's resolved, deleting your account removes your membership from every household you belong to, then deletes your profile and your sign-in credentials.

Option 2: By request (no app installed)

If you no longer have the app installed, email legal@usedidi.com from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. This is a real, monitored inbox — we verify the request and process it manually; we don't yet offer an automated self-service web form for this, so an email is the genuine working method today.

Delete specific data without deleting your account

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. From within the app you can permanently delete any individual Memory (Memory → ⋯ → Delete), or leave a household you belong to (which removes your membership and profile information from that household) — both take effect immediately and don't require deleting your account.
